From the Introduction by Ion Condrescu: Nachdem ich die von den 82 deutschen Haiku inspirierten Haiga ge malt hatte, ist mir bewusst geworden, dass das Haiku in diesem Land eine recht ausgeglichene Stellung zwischen Tradition und Moderne ein nimmt. So fehlen weder die klassischen Elemente, die schon die japani schen Meister behandelt haben, noch die Elemente, Anhaltspunkte und Symbole des Raumes, in dem die heutigen Autoren selbst leben und schaffen.
