Book of the Week: Frozen Earth

Anne Burgevin’s Frozen Earth, published by Red Moon Press in 2018, is our Book of the Week. Her book contains dozens of beautifully composed haiku for your reading pleasure. Dip in anywhere to see gems such as these:
fledge
   ledge
      edge
black ice
crows overtake us
on the bend
ripe fruit
falling into
your lap

You can read the entire book in the THF Digital Library.

Do you have a chapbook published 2010 or earlier you would like featured as a Book of the Week? Contact us for details.

Haiku featured in the Book of the Week Archive are selected by Jim Kacian, and are used with permission.

  1. lovely collection of verses! I love that she kept a wild and untended looking garden. I, too, had a neighbor say the same thing about my garden. Always wild violets and dandelions in summer sun..I couldn’t date to allow them to be mowed assunder. Thank you!
