Book of the Week: Bamboo Autumn

Our Book of the Week is Bamboo Autumn by Barbara F. Buck. Barbara lived and studied haiku in Japan for three years, and now writes classical haiku that range widely over setting and season. This volume follows the traditional path through the four seasons, and contains clear, simple, images that see the world open to the senses and render it without pretense.
