Book of the Week: A Ribbon of Silver Thread

Today’s Book of the Week is A Ribbon of Silver Thread, by Joseph Kirschner, published in 1995–a collection of twenty nature haiku in a slightly outmoded style, with an interesting description by the author of his method of composition.

driving away.
a ribbon of silver thread
tightens about my heart

entwined by tendrils
searching for
the stone wall’s cracks

chill November winds
grip an old barn,
dancers twirl faster . . .
