Haiku of the Day for November 2024 features Guest Editor Angela Terry’s collection on the theme of Autumn Shadows. This is what Angela has to say by way of introduction to this theme:
Something about Autumn lends itself to contemplating the world of spirits and shadows, as if a portal opens into a separate world of perception. From Halloween and Dia de los Muertos to the morning following the first killer frost, the days get shorter, the wind more aggressive and little things that may or may not have any special significance make us question the world around us. Since I find the season to be a bit mysterious, I thought it would be fun to see how other haiku poets have reacted to it. I hope you enjoy their responses as much as I did.
