Book of the Week: Mountain Trail: Following the Master

Today’s Book of the Week is Mountain Trail: Following the Master, by Patricia A. Machmiller. Introducing this book of paintings and haiku, I cannot do better than quote its maker: ‘These landscape brush paintings were originally painted in a 1X1 foot accordion-folded book. Pei Jen Hau, my teacher, brought me to these places through his art and teaching. The lessons were about more than painting—they were about how to live life by developing one’s character through study, endurance, and heart. And always with joy!’
