2013 THF Fundraiser Release: THF Report New Orleans and Haiku Maven
Today we have a new THF Reports video for you. The New Orleans Haiku Society held a reading to celebrate National Haiku Poetry Day 2012 last April.
The event was organized by David Lanoue, current president of the Haiku Society of America, at the historic Latter Library. The Library appears as a central figure in this presentation.
We would like to encourage you all to host and/or participate in a NHPD event this year. Please contact us for more information https://www.thehaikufoundation.org/contact/. Or to tell us what events will be happening in your area and we will advertise them. And of course plan to film them! Perhaps we can feature your group in a THF Reports next year.
In addition, one of the projects you have come to count on from The Haiku Foundation: your favorite Haiku Maven is back with a new question and reply, hoping to educate, prod, cheer and exasperate you. See the Maven’s blogpost below.
The Haiku Foundation would like to thank David Lanoue and the New Orleans Haiku Society, the Latter Library of New Orleans, and, of course, the Haiku Maven, for their contributions to The Haiku Foundation throughout the years.
Please consider making a donation to The Haiku Foundation during our Fundraising Drive, November 28 – December 6. During this time only, every dollar you contribute is matched by an anonymous patron. Your money goes twice as far, and helps the Foundation continue its important work. Thank you.
