Nominate Your Favorite Haiku for a Touchstone Award
With summer slowly fading, and a few months left to the year, the Touchstone Awards for individual poems are now open for 2015.
It’s time now to reflect on your favorite English-language haiku published during 2015. Please send us two of your favorites, only one of which can be your own work. These are awards, not contests. We wish to recognize the best haiku published in 2015.
Our goal is to hand the six panelists a broad selection of poems that represent the most compelling poems published this year. As in past years, we will ask journal editors to send us English-language haiku they published during the award year. Current and past award-recipients are showcased in the Touchstone Archive.
We also invite individuals — you! — to participate using our online form which is available from the Touchstone Poem Awards page.
Please provide a complete citation for the nominated haiku, as described in the online form. Last year, many people used initials in citations, so it wasn’t always easy to determine their eligibility. And please submit your nominations by year’s end.
Thank you, and good luck!
